As what seemed to be something too good to be true (and it was). The Spyro remaster which was slated to release on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 21st has been delayed. The new date for the remaster puts it in the dead center of the holiday release season of games. Specifically, November 13th. Below you can read the statement from Paul Yan in regards to the recent delay:
Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.
The game which was announced in April will feature the 3 original Spyro games remastered much like what was done with the Crash games. The biggest difference being that the game will only be shipped with the 1st Spyro game and the other three need to be downloaded. The Spyro remaster will be out November 13th on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
